Tours Provence – Paris

Provence - Paris at a glance:

Sample the North and South of France in a perfect tour. A 13-day guided tour, equally divided between excursions of Avignon, and the Provence of the Popes, followed by a visit to the romantic and ever-vivid Paris, France. Your flight takes you to Paris where you board on a bullet train (TGV) to head south to Avignon. In addition to Avignon, you will tour the Roman cities of Orange, and Vaison-la-Romaine, as well as many of the legendary Cote Du Rhone Villages of the region. The tour takes you to the splendid Mount Ventoux and the Dentelles. The flexible itinerary will enable you to select from a range of activities including trail hikes, bicycling, leisurely walks, wine tasting, and evening outings and a concert or two.

From Provence we head north to Paris for the second half of the guided tour. You will visit the Latin Quarter and the “Sorbonne”, walk the Left Bank of the river Seine to see Notre Dame de Paris and its famous gargoyles. We will explore the book-stalls along the river, see Place-de-Concorde, traverse the legendary Avenue Champs-Elysee and the Arc de Triomph de Paris, climb the Eiffel Tower, and explore the City of Light close up along the way. We will have enough time to visit the eglise Sacre Coeur and its famous Montmartre district. Of course we will spend some time in one or two of Paris' renowned museums—perhaps the Louvre and the Orsay.

The tour guide will query the tour members and present options for a more rewarding experience for all. We maintain full-time connectivity through mobile and land-line telephones during our tours and will provide you a useful and practical read-ahead package with clear instructions and suggested reading to make the best of your journey.
